Kerala Perspective Plan 2030

Government of Kerala have undertaken the task of preparing a Perspective Plan for Kerala (Vision 2030) with technical assistance of the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi. This will serve as the basis for implementation of a series of initiatives aimed at fostering sustained growth of the State over the next 20 years. The document is expected to be a strategic articulation of its development vision, mission, goals and objectives and a high level strategy to achieve them.

The draft Perspective Plan 2030 has now been prepared with the involvement of various stakeholders. In order to elicit views and ideas on the Perspective Plan, a series of meetings of various sections of the society were held and the suggestions emanated in these meetings were incorporated in the draft report.

Kerala State Finance Commissions

The State Finance Commissions are constituted by  Government of Kerala under clause 1 of Article 243 (I) and (Y) of the Constitution of India read with sections 186 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act 1994 and Section 205 of the Kerala Municipalities Act 1994 to study the financial position of the Panchayats and the Urban Local Bodies and to make recommendations to the Governor.

Central Finance Commissions

As per the Article-280 of the Indian Constitution, the President of India constitutes a Finance Commission with a Chairman and four other members. The main objective of the commission is to recommend the allocation of grants between states.

The Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlement) is entrusted with the accounting and entitlement functions of the Kerala State Government and Accountant General (Audit) is entrusted with the audit transactions of Central government offices in Kerala and the State government.

Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Government of Kerala

The Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Government of Kerala is the nodal agency of the State responsible for the systematic collection, compilation, analysis, objective, interpretation and dissemination of statistics relating to various sectors of Kerala Economy.
