Infrastructure development boosts economic growth and integrates regions, states, nations and world as a whole. Poor infrastructure results in additional costs in terms of time, effort and money for accessing essential services viz, Health, Education, Power, Water and so on. The inadequacy of infrastructure has been considered as a major concern in Kerala, limiting the potential for growth and employment. The Government has been encouraging the development of all forms of infrastructure.

 The recent economic development in the State has put immense pressure on existing infrastructure viz, Transport, Urban Infrastructure, Energy, ICT and so on. In order to ensure balanced growth in the infrastructure section, the State has taken various initiatives.
